The new advanced manufacturing mechatronics lab at the Northwood Tech Rice Lake Campus will support growth in the manufacturing sector through hands-on experience and training.

Northwood Tech has been recognized by the Aspen Institute as one of the top 150 two-year colleges in the nation.

Northwood Technical College held a ribbon cutting and open house event today recognizing Enbridge Energy and Cenovus Superior Refinery for their combined donations of $90,000 toward the purchase of a generator to power the new state-of-the-art mobile welding lab.

Northwood Technical College held another successful annual Explorer Post 343 Firefighting/EMS/Leadership camp dubbed ‘Fired Up for the Future’ with the aid of a generous $9,000 donation from Cenovus Energy.

New grant will support partnerships with Mosaic Technologies and St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin to strengthen workforce development.

Northwood Tech and the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin celebrated the graduation of students from the inaugural class for the mobile welding lab with a small gathering and feast to congratulate the six students for attaining their Shielded Metal Arc Technical Diploma and an oxy fuel and arc cutting processes course.

Gov. Tony Evers and Amy Pechacek, secretary-designee of the Department of Workforce Development visited Northwood Technical College’s New Richmond campus April 13, 2023. Evers is on a state-wide tour to highlight initiatives in his 2023-25 biennial budget, aimed at building the 21st-century workforce in Wisconsin. During his visit, he toured the college’s 53-foot mobile welding lab, robotic trainers, and Skill Boss and PLC trainers used in manufacturing.
