Northwood Tech Students Impress at National BPA Conference

Northwood Technical College's Business Professionals of America students excelled at the annual BPA National Leadership Conference held in May in Chicago. The event brought together talented students from across the country to compete in various business competitions, attend business meetings, and network with peers from other institutions.
Accompanied by their club adviser, three Northwood Tech BPA students represented the college at the national level, competing in a range of business-related events. Their outstanding performances resulted in impressive placements:
- Katherine Hegg, administrative coordinator:
- Interview Skills, fourth place
- Basic Office Systems & Procedures, seventh place
- Graphic Design Promotion, ninth place.
- Bethanie Holly, accounting:
- College Accounting, fifth place
- Prepared Speech, eighth place.
- Kate Meck, business management/human resources:
- Personal Financial Management, third place
- Contemporary Issues, ninth place
- Prepared Speech, ninth place.
These accomplishments highlight the dedication and hard work of the Northwood Tech BPA students, who demonstrated their competence and potential in the business field. The college community extends its heartfelt congratulations to Hegg, Holly, and Meck for their outstanding achievements.
Additionally, the Northwood Tech BPA Chapter received the prestigious Quality Chapter Distinction award, highlighting their commitment to excellence and active participation in the BPA community.
