Northwood Technical College and St. Croix Central High School have opened the St. Croix Manufacturing Skills Center to provide advanced manufacturing training and workforce solutions for the region.

Northwood Technical College and Impact Seven, Inc. celebrated the groundbreaking of the Maple Wood Cottages workforce housing project in St. Croix Falls, a development that will provide 40 apartments and a community center focused on workforce training to address regional housing and job skills needs.

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers visited the new St. Croix Manufacturing Skills Center, funded by the RESTORE grant, a partnership between Northwood Technical College and St. Croix Falls School District, to highlight its role in providing hands-on training and upskilling opportunities for local workers and businesses in advanced manufacturing.

This collaborative event engaged over 1,800 students from 45 school districts in hands-on career exploration in skilled trades and featured Northwood Technical College programs and the GEAR initiative to support young adults.
