The Northwood Tech Experience

Northwood Tech has four campuses and three outreach centers throughout Northwest Wisconsin. With seven convenient locations, you're sure to find a Northwood Tech campus for you. 

A Campus Near You

You can attend Northwood Tech close to home or choose from one of Northwood Tech's other campuses, if your goal is to move farther away. 

Student housing options are available off-site near Northwood Tech's Ashland, Rice Lake and Superior campuses, if you're seeking a traditional college experience.

Each campus varies geographically from waterfalls, rivers or lakes and rural life to nearby urban life. Whatever experience you're seeking, Northwood Tech has a campus for you.

The Ashland campus is located in a charming community, rich in arts and nature along the shores of Lake Superior and immersed among some of Wisconsin's most breathtaking scenery. The campus is centrally located to many area recreational attractions including the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, thousands of acres of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, countless pristine inland lakes, waterfalls and miles of rivers and streams. Ashland is a recreational playground for hunters, anglers, boaters, skiers, snowmobilers, hikers, kayakers, campers and anyone who enjoys the outdoors.

The New Richmond campus offers an abundance of recreational and cultural activities. The campus is situated in the beautiful St. Croix Valley and only a 40-minute drive to the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. Sprinkled with parks and nature retreats throughout the city, New Richmond lives up to its slogan “The City Beautiful”.

Rice Lake

Found directly in Northwood Tech Rice Lake campus backyard is the Cedar Side Walking Trail, which follows the Red Cedar River for 3.5 miles where eagles, deer and other wildlife visit regularly. The largest city in the county, Rice Lake has a small-town feel with the big-city benefits of commerce, manufacturing, health and education. This Wisconsin Northwoods area has something for everyone–great fishing, hiking, biking and ATVing, as well as shopping, dining, live theatre and more.

Originally founded in 1912, the Superior campus is the first Northwood Tech campus. Superior is nestled on the western tip of the Great Lake Superior and is known for not only its access to the largest freshwater lake in the world, but for its historical roots, roaring waterfalls and colorful events.

An Affordable Education

Northwood Tech offers a significantly lower cost per credit than the four-year college, but there are other ways you'll save money by attending Northwood Tech. 

Many employers require an associate degree/technical diploma and place a high emphasis on experience. Instead of spending unnecessary time and money pursuing a bachelor's degree, you could be in the field gaining valuable experience in the industry. 

For the careers that do require a bachelor's degree, Northwood Tech provides transfer agreements with many four-year colleges in the state. By starting at Northwood Tech and transferring, you can ultimately save nearly half the tuition.

HOW MUCH will it COST?

Northwood Tech breaks down the cost of education so that there are no surprises. Education expenses are based on the cost of tuition, books, supplies, food, housing, transportation, personal and other miscellaneous expenses.
