This 1 day course is designed for repair and handy persons, remodeling, renovation and painting contractors, tradesmen, and landlords who conduct (or oversee) activities that disturb painted surfaces in homes, apartments, or child occupied facilities (day-cares, schools, etc.) built before 1978. This course satisfies the training requirement to obtain Wisconsin Department of Health Services and EPA Lead-Safe Renovator Certification that is required when working in or on these structures. This course also satisfies HUD requirements for persons conducting non-abatement LBP activity as part of a federally funded project. This course is designed to educate attendees how to conduct repair, renovation and remodeling activities in a lead-safe manner. Topics covered include background information on lead, health effects of exposure to lead, regulations, worksite preparation, conducting interim control and non-abatement activities, work site clean-up and disposal.

The Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI) has established Rule Ins 34556 for the implementation of the Wisconsin Long Term Care Insurance Partnership (LTCIP) Program. The rules require 6 hours of education and training for licensed intermediaries on the LTC Partnership program and 2 hours of training specific to the Wisconsin Medicaid Program. Intermediaries must complete this 8 hour CE requirement prior to selling any Long Term Care Insurance in Wisconsin after January 1, 2009. Successful completion of this course will fulfill the CE requirements outlined for Wisconsin Licensed Intermediaries in OCI Rule Ins 34556.
