This course trains and updates cooks and assistant cooks to prepare soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other foodstuffs. Emphasis will be placed on work simplification and maintaining safe and sanitary standards. Cost control and business operations will be covered.
The CDL – Commercial Driver’s License – Class B course is designed to prepare students to earn a Class B License and operate straight trucks such as: short-haul delivery trucks, construction and excavating vehicles and trucks used in the sand mining, concrete, or other similar industries. Professional drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods. This course will prepare you for that through a driving simulator and behind-the-wheel activities. The course includes an introduction to the industry, vehicle inspections and systems overview, safe driving techniques, cargo documentation and employer/employee relations. The Class B License does not allow a driver to operate tractor-trailers or other combination vehicles. A student must have their Class B permit before starting this course.
