Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is a very gentle style of yoga that combines stretching (postures) with breath work and meditation to connect you to all parts of yourself. A few of the many benefits include improved flexibility, mobility, strength, circulation, relaxation, balance and energy. Yoga helps to bring awareness and trust to your body, calmness to your restless mind and joy to your spirit. Please bring your own mat, a blanket, two yoga blocks and a 6-8 foot strap. As always, please check with your physician before starting this or any other exercise class. This class will be offered online using teams; you will need reliable internet service, a microphone and camera to successfully take this class.
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is different from more energetic yoga styles. Instead of generating heat and strength through movement, Yin Yoga emphasizes gentle stretches that are held for longer periods. These stretches specifically target the deeper connective tissues of the body, encouraging relaxation and mindfulness. Practicing Yin Yoga can result in numerous benefits, including increased flexibility, reduced stress, and improved sleep quality. You will need household items such as blankets and pillows for props.
