This 18-credit certificate is designed for early care and education professionals wishing to build upon their skills working with children ages three to five. Completion of all six courses will prepare learners to receive the Preschool Credential from the Wisconsin Registry.
Program Overview
Each age group requires a little something special and preschoolers are no exception. If you work with or are interested in working with preschool children, the Preschool Education Professional (Wisconsin Registry Preschool Credential) will enhance your existing knowledge and skills and provide you with networking opportunities with other professionals in the field. The Preschool Education Professional (Wisconsin Registry Preschool Credential) was developed with six courses from the Wisconsin Technical College System Statewide Curriculum for the associate degree in Early Childhood Education. Graduates of this certificate will be recognized as Wisconsin Registry Career Level 10 once they successfully complete the commission process.

As a graduate, you will create and maintain safe and healthy play environments, assess development, and plan and implement learning activities. Completers of this certificate will meet the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families licensing guidelines for teachers in group childcare centers and will be recognized as Wisconsin Registry Career Level 10.
