Course Description:
This session is co-taught by law enforcement and CPS trainers and open to law enforcement and child protective services (CPS) staff. Attendees will learn about functions and process of law enforcement and CPS as well as address common frustrations that arise when working together. Trainers will address ways law enforcement and CPS can jointly investigate cases of child abuse and neglect as well as drug-endangered children (DEC) cases. Attendees will learn how to maximize efficiency and collaboration across disciplines to achieve better case outcomes and reduce trauma to victims and their families.
