Instructor Training Defensive Tactics

Course Description: This Instructor course covers both DAAT and POSC. This course prepares instructor candidates for certification as a Defensive Tactics Instructor (DT Instructor). This course replaces the DAAT and POSC Instructor courses as of January, 2022. Candidates must pass any skills evaluation conducted at the beginning of the course and complete a pre-course study guide prior to attending. Candidates must bring their duty belt and attire appropriate for physical skills exercises. Candidates must be adequately physically fit with no medical limitations to participate in this course.

Prerequisite: Candidates must have completed the 32-hour CJ-IDC course before attending OR already be a currently certified LESB instructor.
