Defensive Tactics Instructor 8-Hour Transition Course

Course Description:
This course is for current academy level DAAT and POSC Instructors and MITs to transition to the Defensive Tactics instructor and Defensive Tactics Instructor MIT certification.  Candidates must pass any skills evaluation conducted at the beginning of the course and complete a pre-course study guide prior to attending. Candidates must bring their duty belt and attire appropriate for physical skills exercises. Candidates must be adequately physically fit with no medical limitations to participate in this course.

Prerequisite: Candidates must have completed the 32-hour CJ-IDC course before attending OR already be a currently certified LESB instructor.
