Biography

Laurie Simon’s background in education combined with work experience in IT is the perfect combination for her to instruct computer applications. Prior to coming to Northwood Tech, Laurie worked as a network administrator, which she worked her way up to from a help desk staff member.

Laurie’s teaching philosophy is that students learn best when they are working hands-on and using critical thinking in activities and assignments. She believes that working with technology is a lifelong learning process where everyone can learn from each other.

In her free time, Laurie enjoys spending time with family, walking, learning new technology and working on projects inside and outside the home.
