Biography

Cody Hiben is a field-tested and trained welder who has an educational background from the very school where he teaches. With his on-the-job experience, he has developed some key tips and tricks, which he will pass on to his students to give them an edge in the industry upon successful completion of the program.   

Cody’s teaching style is very hands on, and he has an easy-going attitude with a high patience level. His own experience as a student at Northwood Tech, who at times struggled with classes, will help him to relate to the student experience. He believes that when an instructor with patience and determination is matched with a student with a strong work ethic, that student will have no trouble obtaining his or her dream job.

In his spare time, Cody enjoys riding his motorcycle, RZR riding, camping and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoys a good BBQ.
