Biography
I come from a family of educators and realized early in my veterinary career that the profession was innately a teaching profession. Veterinarians spend their days explaining procedures, animal care, disease prevention and medication prescriptions under the title of "client education," which led me to Northwood Tech. My unique accumulation of veterinary practice and academia work experience provides me with a "real world" perspective as well as an understanding of the educational requirements to be successful in the profession.
My teaching philosophy is that learning is an individual endeavor in that no two students are alike in how they process, retain or implement new information or skills. Therefore, my goal is to discover the best way to explain or present new topics to each student I encounter. The classroom environment is a hands-on teaching/learning approach, which allows me to explain most theories and skills adequately.
