Biography

My experiences include truck driving, teaching new drivers, and visiting high school driver's ed classes to show them how to stay safe while driving around a large truck. Teaching new drivers is what I enjoyed most and I feel very fortunate to continue that passion at Northwood Tech.

Drivers are retiring faster. This has caused wages to rise at a fast pace and forced employers to operate better and safer equipment to attract new drivers. We will have multiple employers come in to recruit our students throughout the program, and some are even hired before they graduate. We teach to the individual student's needs. Our small class sizes allow you to learn at your own pace and the instructors to recognize when extra attention is needed. 

As a Wisconsin Road Team Captain, I had the opportunity to educate young drivers on how to stay safe around commercial vehicles. This led me to becoming an instructor for the company I worked for. I then realized I wanted get out of the truck and pursue teaching full-time.

I enjoy camping, hiking, and cross-country skiing.
