Biography
Kevin Thill has worked in various roles within emergency medical services over his adult lifetime, all of which have shaped his understanding of this career field. The field of EMS is always evolving as standards and treatments change rapidly, and a commitment to lifelong learning is required for those who work in this field. According to Kevin, this field is as rewarding as it is challenging, and it is his goal to prepare students with a strong skill set to provide patients with the care that they deserve.
After years of working in this industry, Kevin decided to step away from patient care and change his focus to preparing the next generation of paramedics. For graduates, opportunities in this profession are available across the country, and graduates will be able to find work in various settings from rural to metro and in fire-, community-, or hospital-based systems. His teaching philosophy is student centered. We all learn differently, and it is Kevin’s goal to accommodate each student’s individual learning style to the best of his ability. Upon graduation, students can continue their education to develop additional skills to work in critical care of flight-based systems.
In his spare time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family. In the summer, they enjoy water sports such as fishing, wakeboarding and paddle boarding. He also loves to travel with his wife to the Caribbean Islands where they go on a regular basis.
