Biography

Melissa Neal is very passionate about her discipline. She believes that teaching is not only presenting the required material, but also instilling a sense of pride and professionalism in the student. Melissa’s many years working as a certified medical assistant has taught her about professionalism, teamwork and giving excellent patient care; all skills that carry over into teaching.

Melissa believes that the versatility of the medical assisting program at Northwood Tech is what sets the students apart from others in the industry.

"The medical assistant program is a rigorous program that, if completed, will give the students an over-abundance of success," Melissa said. "The graduate will find many opportunities available in local ambulatory centers." 

In addition to being trained in administration and lab skills, the medical assistant program allows students to practice giving injections, apply cardiac testing and administer vision tests.
