Biography
As a student, I always enjoyed the instructors who shared their real-world experiences with the class. As an instructor, I aim to duplicate this effective form of teaching. I employ my international and educational experiences to provide students with a comprehensive overview of the human services field.
I have practiced social work with families in England, Hawaii, Florida and Minnesota. The families I've worked with have had issues with mental health, chemical dependency, housing, child abuse and domestic violence. The diversity in the families that I've worked with along with the array of issues that those families have faced provide a strong foundation for me in the human services program.
The human services program will provide you with the framework for future work in the fields of chemical dependency, mental health, gerontology, community organizing and more.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my children and exploring the outdoors.
