Biography
While teaching at Northwood Tech, Heath Swanson continues to work in the ag power industry. This allows him to pull from real-world examples and challenges he faces every day to share with students. In addition, he heavily utilizes hands-on learning with live projects to prepare students for their future careers.
Heath is an alum of Northwood Tech, which provides valuable insight as an instructor at the College. He has worked as a teacher’s assistant, and he enjoyed working with students and watching them grow as professional mechanics. This experience encouraged Heath to become an instructor.
In his “spare” time, Heath works on the family dairy farm and repairs tractors and semi-trucks.
