Biography
I believe in lifetime learning and am a proud community college graduate with both a liberal arts Associate’s Degree and an Administrative Secretarial Diploma from Indian Hills Community College in Iowa. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Education (Teaching/Learning Leadership) from Iowa State University, a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Buena Vista University, and have begun work on my doctorate.
Travel and increasing my cultural competence is a passion right beside education and I have provided formal and informal English/ESL language training to business managers and adult students both abroad and domestically. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, quilling, painting, singing, writing and reading.
Supporting the success of our students, faculty, and the college as a whole are my daily focus and I am always looking for ways to leverage my varied background in manufacturing, higher education administration, technology, and management to create an environment of growth and a passion for learning in others.
