Biography

The welding industry has served John's family and extended family well. His father, grandfather, uncles and cousins have all worked in the welding industry and have made a good living with excellent benefits and retirement packages. John grew up helping his father in the welding repair and fabrication business. 

Before working at Northwood Tech, John taught for 21 years in the public high school system. He believes that his experience teaching in the high schools is beneficial in helping students make the transition from high school to technical college. Anyone, no matter what previous experiences they have, can succeed in the welding program as long as they are dedicated, hardworking and willing to ask for help.
