Biography

Ric has over 23 years of experience in the welding industry. His goal has always been to accumulate vast knowledge in the field of welding and hone his skills in order to instruct others. Ric's extensive experience in the field of welding allows him to provide insight for students who wish to enter the field. After completing a two-year vocational welding course, he began his career in welding with an entry-level position. To further enhance his credentials, he enrolled in Hobart’s structural and pipe welding program and was hired to weld aircraft engine parts upon graduation. In 2006, he passed the American Welding Society CWI/CWE exam and added certified welding inspector and educator to his credentials. In 2012, he was nominated to attend the prestigious instructor institute at the American Welding Society headquarters in Doral, Fla.

Ric makes it a priority to maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes within the welding field and apply the new technologies to insure safety, effectiveness and student performance.
