Biography

Theresa Snyder worked in acute care for nearly 14 years in telemetry and med-surg, which has prepared her to be a facilitator of experience and knowledge. Theresa earned her Nursing – Associate Degree at Northwood Tech, and it was her experience here that inspired her to be a teacher. She hopes she can provide the same memorable and wonderful lessons as the instructors she encountered who gave her the wisdom and courage to pursue this career.

Theresa’s teaching philosophy is that learning takes place when a new idea or skill is mastered and merged with prior knowledge to build a stronger foundation for future learning. She believes that learning is a lifelong process for both teacher and student. She looks forward to affecting change upon students by inspiring and praising students along the way.

In her spare time, Theresa enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking and taking walks with her dog.
