Biography

I am an alumni of Northwood Technical College obtaining my degree in Business Administration/Finance in 2001, and my degree in Information Technology-Network Specialist in 2011. Since then, I have furthered my education, obtaining my Bachelors of Science in Software Development, and my MBA in Information Technology Management. I currently hold certifications in A+, Network+, Security+, Project+, and ITIL Foundations.

I have almost 13 years of experience working in the Information Technology field first working in the Help Desk for Fastenal, before moving on to work on a technology grant project for The Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Government as their IT Specialist. After the grant ended, I was then promoted to become their Director of Information Technology, and held that role the next five years. After this, I held the position of Network Administrator/Project Manager for the Skokomish Indian Tribe in Washington State. I then came back to Wisconsin, and worked for The University of Wisconsin-Madison as a Cyberdefense Analyst, before moving on to work as a Windows System Administrator for Michigan Technological University on the Keweenaw Peninsula in the UP. I feel that with my wide variety or experience in varied roles within the IT Field, that I will be able to become an effective Instructor and impart my knowledge and experience to the students at Northwood Tech. 

In my free time, I like to take road trips to and camp in National and State Parks around the country, explore the North and South Shores of Lake Superior, take my Boston Terrier for walks, cook delicious foods, enjoy Sci Fi and Fantasy TV Shows and Movies, and play video games."
